WHEN discussing future productions, a member of the Regal Community Theatre, suggested they turn to master wordsmith, Noel Coward.
The idea was embraced and two of his shorter works were picked.
Two 1-Act plays “Red Peppers” and “Hands Across the Sea” are being presented either side of an interval in each show, entitled “Coward, Canapés & Cocktails”. They are comedies from a suite of 10 plays, Coward called ‘Tonight at 8:30.’
They were originally shown as a set and the audience would see all ten across three evenings.
Contemporary pieces, they are being performed as written, in the The Studio at The Regal. The first of the productions took place last evening with the other two tonight and tomorrow.
