VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help the Friends of Warndon Villages.

The group, which is made up of active volunteers working to improve and enhance Warndon Villages, held two practical project days last month.

The first saw nine volunteers repair a damaged fence, remove excess vegetation, reinstate the path surface and litter pick in Racefield Meadow. The second saw eight volunteers finish pruning at Sudeley Park, while painting and resurfacing around seats and bins.

Meanwhile volunteers also took part in the Great British Spring Clean Community litter pick, with more than 15 bags of litter collected on the day.

More volunteering projects have been planned, beginning today, with a litter pick being held between 10.30am and 12.30pm at Lyppard Hub, in Ankerage Green.

A project day is being held at Trotshill Orchard on April 17, between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Local volunteers and the parish wardens will be reinstating the fence and a pedestrian access point that was previously vandalised.

This Sunday there will be a litter pick at the Mabs allotments, with volunteers encouraged to bring along their dogs.

The litter pick is being held between 2pm and 3.30pm. While on April 20, volunteers can take part in a variety of practical tasks to maintain Trotshill Orchard. The event is being held between 10.30am and 1pm.

And the Friends of Warndon Villages will be at Tattersall Park on April 23, between 10.30am and 1.30pm. Local volunteers and parish wardens will be continuing an existing project to treat wooden benches, prune vegetation and remove graffiti.
