STAFF from a home improvement store in Worcester which is due to close have been offered jobs at the store which is to replace it.
The Worcester News previously reported that staff from the Homebase branch in Hylton Road, were not going to be offered jobs at either the new The Range store, or the other Homebase branch at Blackpole.
It is now understood that while there were no vacancies at the Blackpole store, job interviews have been secured with The Range for members of staff who are interested.
It is also understood that interviews for interested team members for two concessions which are opening at the Blackpole store in the coming months have also been arranged.
The store in Hylton Road is set to close down on August 23.
In August last year Homebase announced that it would close 42 stores, and that a further 70 shops were "under review".
