ARTRIX is out to prove that Halloween is not just for kids.

The Bromsgrove venue will be hosting several spooky events to bring the time of ghosts and ghouls to a spine-tingling and enjoyable climax.

A spokesman said: “The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde comes to The Studio at Artrix on Wednesday October 30, at 7.30pm.

“Combining edge-of-your-seat thrills with stunning physical theatre, Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic ‘bogey tale’ is brought chillingly to life in this award-winning one-man show."

But what about Dracula? Where’s Dracula when you need him?

Fear not, or be very fearful, because broadcast live to to Artrix cinema for Halloween is Northern Ballet’s thrilling adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic horror story.

The spokesman added: “The haunting tale of passion and immortality is played out through a unique blend of sensuous dancing and gripping theatre - this is ballet with a dramatic bite.

"Step into the world of Dracula - if you dare. Seducing countless generations, Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire lives on in this extraordinary ballet. The dark tale of the immortal Count is played out through Northern Ballet’s blend of sensuous dancing and gripping theatre enhanced by gothic sets and costumes.

"If you think you know what to expect from ballet, think again. This is ballet with a dramatic bite that will leave you thirsty for more - don’t miss your chance to experience it."

The ballet features music by Schnittke, Rachmaninov, Pärt and Daugherty, and the date will be Halloween itself, Thursday October 31.

But the creepy fun doesn’t end there.

On Friday November 1, an audience will experience an evening of Clairvoyance with Nuala Ryan Long.

The spokesman added: “With being so close to when spirits are most active, this evening promises to be fulfilled with messages from spirits.”
