A 'landmark' tree near the Worcester Warriors ground has been felled.
The tree was taken down after partly collapsing last month.
A spokesman for Worcester Warriors said: “The oak was something of a landmark at Sixways and we are sure that our supporters are going to miss it.
“Unfortunately a large section of the tree collapsed the day before our last home Gallagher Premiership match against Exeter Chiefs.
"Tree surgeons confirmed that the core of the tree was rotten so the trunk and remaining branches had to be felled and removed over the weekend.
“There is now a sizeable gap near the entrance to Sixways which supporters will notice when they attend our next home match against Sale Sharks on Saturday, November 30.
