In the Bible, Belshazzar's Feast was rudely interrupted by God, who wrote alarming graffiti on the king's wall.

As you do.

But surely no-one would dream of interrupting the combo Belshazzar's Feast, when they are in full flow; and the good news is, they have a festive date at The Huntingdon Hall in Worcester.

A spokesman said: "On tour with their celebrated Christmas show that mixes traditional folk music, seasonal material, stirring in classical, pop and music hall, all topped off with audience participation and lashings of wry humour, Paul Sartin (Bellowhead / Faustus) and Paul Hutchinson (Hoover The Dog) together have wowed audiences across the world with their eclectic and eccentric mix of tunes and on-stage chemistry, which always sends audiences home with smiles on their faces.

"As a singer, oboist, violinist, composer and arranger, Paul Sartin performs and records extensively with trio Faustus, and previously with multi-BBC Radio 2 Award-winning big band Bellowhead. Consultant and Director of the Andover Museum Loft Singers, he is also author of Community Choirs Collection – Folk published by Faber Music."

The spokesman added: "Paul is a BASCA-nominated composer whose commissions include works for the Central School of Speech and Drama, the Choir of Somerville College, Oxford, Streetwise Opera, Aldeburgh Music, and the BBC Radio 4 series Playing the Skyline."

Paul Hutchinson is the resident accordion tutor for the English Folk Dance & Song Society, Halsway Manor – the National Centre for Folk Arts, Benslow Music and Marlborough College.

The date for the diary is Wednesday December 18 at 7.30pm
