THERE will be plenty of family-fun to be had as furry and feathered friends flock to CountryTastic at Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

On Thursday, April 9 animals including giant rabbits and hens will be on hand for children to interact with, along with cattle, sheep and pigs.

‘Eggucation’ – a STEM school’s education service – will be on hand to reveal the life of a chick as well as the inner world of an egg, and youngsters may even get a chance to see a chick hatching.

Visitors will also be able to meet poultry experts to find out about the different types of chickens, ducks and geese that will be in attendance.

TV presenter and Cotswold Farm Park’s Adam Henson will be back headlining the show in the ‘Ask the Farmer’ classroom where children can have their burning questions answered.

For an experience of what life is like as a farmer, the parades of livestock, pig agility ring and mock livestock auction will have kids eager to meet and learn about farmyard animals.

Other highlights at the show will include the ever-popular tractor and trailer rides, the amazing Pirton Gundog Display team, den building and cookery workshops.

Head of shows at Three Counties Showground, Diana Walton said: “We love CountryTastic, it’s such a fun show and it’s fantastic seeing all the children having a wonderful time learning about life in the countryside.

Plus drop by the National Trust stand and have a go at making a feather crown and join the ‘Unlocking the Severn’ team to find out the conservation and ecology of the UK’s longest river."
