TRIBUTES have been paid to a much-loved driving instructor in Worcester who died recently.

Around 60 driving instructors came together to pay tribute to Adrian Care, known as Ade from Drive with Care.

The instructors attended and formed the words RIP ADE with their cars.

The Care family also attended with his three cars. There were words of tribute spoken to Adrian, from Blackpole, followed by a minute’s silence before everyone honked their horns.

Driving instructor John Grayson, who was there, said his family had told supporters the kindness shown after Adrian's death was a great help to them.

He said: "The event went very well."

The Worcester and District Driving Instructors Association, of which Ade was a member, helped organise the tribute. The group also aims to raise awareness of mental health issues for men.

The family have launched a charity in Adrian’s name, called ‘Support with Care.’

The charity will look to provide counselling and talking therapies to those struggling with mental health issues, a cause the family feel extremely strongly about.

Adrian's family said fellow driving instructors have told them they looked up to Adrian and he would help them in both their professional and personal lives. The 51-year-old was described as a “kind and caring man, that would do anything for anyone.”

He enjoyed his job as a driving instructor and began his career back in 2010 after seeing an advert asking people to sign up.

Ade became one of the most popular and dedicated driving instructors in Worcester. His family said he wasn’t just a driving instructor; he was a friend and mentor to all of his pupils.

He sent a personalised card to every one of the 360 students who he helped to pass.

The event took place at Droitwich Rugby Club, in Hanbury Road at 3pm on Sunday, July 5.

Craig Browne, vice chairman, of the rugby club allowed them to use the space free after an appeal.
