FOLLOWING on from our earlier advice about coronavirus and eating fruit and vegetables, we have put together another round up of coronavirus advice.

How long does coronavirus take to develop?

According to the NHS, if you have symptoms or have tested positive for coronavirus, you'll usually need to self-isolate for at least 7 days.

You'll usually need to self-isolate for 14 days if: someone you live with has symptoms or tested positive, someone in your support bubble has symptoms or tested positive or you've been told by NHS Test and Trace that you've been in contact with someone who has coronavirus.

You may also want to tell people you've been in close contact with in the past 48 hours that you might have coronavirus.

What will happen at A S Green and Co now the outbreak has been reported?

Following today's news that 73 out of 200 people at the AS Green and Co farm near Malvern had tested positive for coronavirus, the whole farm has gone into lockdown.

Workers are being asked to remain on the farm during the period of isolation and stay within household groups, to reduce risk of spread within the workforce and into the wider community.

Herefordshire Council is arranging food and essential supplies for residents on the site while they self-isolate.

How long will the lockdown at the farm last?

It is not known yet how long the farm at Mathon will be in lockdown for.

NHS guidelines are to self-isolate for 14 days if anyone you live with has tested positive, while you should self-isolate for seven days if you have symptoms or have tested positive.

Can I catch coronavirus from fruit and vegetables?

According to government advice, it is very unlikely that you can catch coronavirus (COVID-19) from food. Cooking thoroughly will kill the virus.

The official government advice goes on to say: "COVID-19 is a respiratory illness. It is not known to be transmitted by exposure to food or food packaging.

"Everyone should wash their hands regularly with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds, to reduce the risk of illness.

"It is especially important to wash hands before handling food or eating."
