LAST Thursday, the Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove voted for military intervention in Syria.
It is beyond comprehension that a majority of Bromsgrove constituents would, if consulted, have supported him, and hence he had no right to stigmatise Bromsgrove and its constituents in this way.
He is not there to vote as he thinks, we are not interested in what he thinks, he is there to represent his constituents, nothing more. Also, his party leader should have consulted the electorate as a whole before attempting such a patently stupid act.
Bromsgrove constituents can send a clear message to both at the next general election, but in truth the local party should de-select Mr Javid well before then.
Peter McHugh, Alvechurch
