THE summer Parliamentary recess is an excellent opportunity formeto spend even more time meeting constituents – and I’ve been doing just that.
In addition to my weekly advice surgeries, I’ve been holding a number of public forums.
I’ve held six thissummerin Hagley, Wythall, Alvechurch, Barnt Green, Rubery and Bromsgrove town centre and I am always very pleased to see local people turning up to ask me about whatever issues are on their minds.
I also hold street surgeries which are impromptu public meetings with constituents and particularly those who might not otherwise contact me with their issues.
Finally, I attend house meetings at the request of constituents. These are simple affairs – if any of my constituents will invite round to their homes their neighbours, of all political persuasions, then I will very gladly come and discuss their issues and concerns.
If you would like to host a house meeting, then please just get in touch with my constituency office.
These are all very important ways for me to listen to the views and concerns of my constituents.
I will always do what I can to help, so if you do see me or my street surgery sign, or you are attending a forum or a house meeting, please do come over and have a chat.
