CAN Bromsgrove Council, its enforcement officers and the town’s CCTV camera operators tell readers what exactly they are doing to stop goods and delivery vehicles from crossing through No Entry signs and entering onto the pedestrian thoroughfare to deliver to shops in our town?
Surely, only access should be permitted to emergency vehicles and security cash escorts and only in such areas of the High Street shopping area. The last thing anyone wants to see is someone run over walking out of a shop.
The towns CCTV camera operators are not protecting and acting with the enforcement officers to stop this illegal practice and flaunting of the highway laws and town bylaws. They seem more interested in ticketing motorists in the town for going slightly over parking time.
All the shops in the High Street should be sent letters telling their delivery people alternate parking areas or face the consequences of a hefty fine and possible penalty points on the licences of drivers caught.
