THE application for development at Whitford Vale goes back to the planning committee tomorrow for determination.
So far the committee has supported the very real concerns expressed so clearly by WVV.
Since the last meeting, nothing has changed – the developer and Worcestershire highways have not put anything new forward. The complacency about the traffic problems from the highways authority is shameful. WVV has continued to monitor travel levels, count vehicles, the direction they take and try to establish the impact on the local community, which will be significant.
I would like to appeal directly to the planning committee to continue to do what you have done, stand up for Bromsgrove and the voice of the local community, turn this application down, we are all fed up of the constant traffic congestion and the new flooding problem on Kidderminster Road, which is getting worse each time.
Remember, this is the road developers want to push all the extra traffic on to. We do understand you have to make land available but this is just not the right place and the impact will be immense and seriously damaging. Please do the right thing for Bromsgrove.
