BROMSGROVE Hockey Club’s successful Junior Hockey Academy reopens on Sunday, September 15.
Last season the scheme hosted over 100 children each week at Bromsgrove School.
Newcomers will get their first session for free, and the club runs morings for youngsters aged five and over on two pitches at the school, catering for all abilties and experience.
Players get the chance to play against other local clubs in monthly tournaments and to move through into the senior sides.
Sessions, which run between 9.30am and 11am, cost £3.50 per week with special rates for families attending with more than one child.
This Sunday, Bromsgrove are holding a special open day in memory of Patrick Ebbutt at Trinity High School in Redditch, a young player who lost his battle against a brain tumour. All proceeds will go to Brain Tumour Research and St Mary’s Hospice.
