PLUCKY Bromsgrove completed their campaign with a 38-22 defeat to newly-crowned National Midlands Three champions South Leicester.
The Boars recovered from a poor first half to hand the leaders a fright.
Trailing 21-3 at half time, Phil Horton, Dave Lewis and Paul Norris all scored tries tried in a stirring patented Boars second-half comeback revival.
Defeat saw Bromsgrove claim sixth place to finish solidly in mid-table in sixth place with 16 wins out of 26 matches.
Head coach Dan Protherough Protheough said: “We had a lot of the ball but we didn’t use it as well as we could.
“But credit to Leicester, they were strong, well organised and physical.”
The Boars have a three-week break before playing Dudley Kingswinford in the North Midlands Plate final in May.
