FECKENHAM fought their way through to the Worcester Junior Cup semi-finals after beating arch rivals Inkberrow following a penalty shoot-out.

It was Feckenham who made all the early running and took the lead when Umit Eminoglu's corner found Connor Perry-Holmes, who in turn drilled the ball towards goal, where Jordan Adams was quickest to react and slot home.

Inkberrow tried to hit back and levelled before half time when Feckenham were caught out on a breakaway, the ball eventually being deflected home past goalkeeper Josh Goddard.

The second half was a much more even affair as both sides created chances in an attempt to break the deadlock.

Inkberrow almost snatched victory when hitting the post before the tie progressed straight to penalties where Feckenham triumphed 4-3 after goalkeeper Goddard had saved well to send his side through.

The result extends Feckenham's unbeaten run to seven games.

Feckenham face Fairfield Villa this Saturday in a local Midland League Division Two derby at The Entaco, Studley Sports and Social Club where kick-off will be 2pm.
