CANNY Studley boss Keith Draper anticipated his side's trip to Littleton would be called off this week and managed to arranged a friendly fixture with Earlswood Town instead.

The crafty Studley boss had also lined up Fairfield Villa and Highgate United as other possible options.

He said: "I was confident we'd get to play at least one of the three on our 3G pitch."

Draper fears his Studley side could be facing a fixture pile-up with their Midland League One programme and revealed: "We could be playing twice a week at this stage which brings additional problems.

"A number of my players work shifts, which could leave us short in midweek, so I've been considering whether to bring in more players.

"It's going to be a difficult period, but we're looking to kick-on again. The objective remains the same as we're determined to qualify for next season's FA Cup".

Studley should be certain to play this coming Saturday as they travel to Lichfield, who have a 4G pitch at their disposal.
