THE outdoor bowling season has ended with unprecedented success for Droitwich's Vines Park club.

They won Worcestershire's coveted Central Stairlifts Trophy in style against Kidderminster's Chester Road at Oldington, winning on five of the six rinks.

It added to their success in the Redditch Triples League, the Spencer Cup, Concorde League, Vernon Turner Trophy and the Reg Russell Triples Championship.

Their members also starred in the county under 25s pairs through Matt Leedham and Luke Lane, the men's pairs via Martin Leedham and Richard Moule and the two-wood singles thanks to Steve Poyner.

President Vic Duggan said: "This goes down as probably the most successful year ever in Vines Park's history.

"To be part of the club at the moment is one of the best feelings as president I've ever had.

"It is reward for a hard-working, good committee, captain and the players that love to play for the club."
