FAIRFIELD Villa failed to progress in this season's Worcester County Cup after crashing out 5-2 at local rivals Redditch Borough.

Goals from Pete Jenzy and Ryan Molesworth couldn't prevent Borough from progressing courtesy of four goals from Khurum Iqbal after Jak Albutt had opened the scoring.

Villa spokesman Paul Oakes said: "We were looking for a response from the players after losing be seven goals the previous week and in all honesty we played well.

"But Borough played the percentages really well and every time we built up a head of steam, Borough went and scored."

Life doesn't get any easier this week when Villa entertain top of the table GNP in Total Motion Midland League Division Two.

Villa have also lost the services of Kyle Xavier who has joined his brother Aaron at Division One side Littletons.
