Borough had been blitzed 6-2 by Coton Green just three weeks previously - but this time the outcome was a completely different story.

Goals from Jak Allbut, Billy Garvey and Craig Malins did the trick as Borough sealed the points and climbed to 10th place in the process.

Borough boss Julian Workman explained the remarkable turnaround in form, he said: "In the previous game against Coton Green, I brought in one or two youngsters and we made mistakes. We had a real bad day at the office. This time we were much better an could have won by more."

Borough travel to face struggling local rivals Feckenham this week, before playing them again the following week by a strange twist of the fixtures.

Redditch Borough Ladies had to call off their eagerly-awaited game with Stourbridge on Sunday owing to an unfit Mettis pitch.

The Ladies hope for an improvement in the weather for this Sunday when they entertain Wednesfield.

Despite being out of action, Borough remain third in the Birmingham County FA Premier Division, just six points behind leaders Sutton Coldfield but with two games in hand.
