FAIRFIELD Villa's fine run of form continued with a storming 6-1 success at Hampton FC in Total Motion Midland League Division Two.

Villa's victory was all the more creditable as they were missing several key regulars owing to injury together with Dan Wilkes and James McKeon staging a birthday bash in Dublin.

As a result, Villa had to draft in four players from their reserve side but they rose to the task in style.

Alfie Bloomer bagged a hat-trick with Ellis Blakemore, Danny Ludlow and Connor Collins also on the mark.

Delighted Villa spokesman Paul Oakes said: "The interaction between the first team and the reserves has been superb. They all train together and there's never a problem helping each other out."

Despite their winning spree, Villa still remain fourth and Oakes explained: "The top three sides keep winning as well, so consequently we have to keep winning to remain on their coat tails."

Villa host Coton Green this Saturday (2pm kick off) looking to extend their unbeaten home record which now extends to 10 games.
