GOLF prospect Lili-Rose Hunt is celebrating after being crowned Worcestershire and Herefordshire 2019 Junior Girls’ County Golf Champion.
The Championship was held at Kings Norton Golf Club on July 24 during record high temperatures and was reduced to 27 holes because of the intense heat.
Bromsgrove School pupil Lili-Rose, who plays at Droitwich Golf Course, won with a score of 110 Gross.
In May, Lili-Rose was also invited to the Ladies’ European Tour Girls’ Golf Rocks day at Buckinghamshire Golf Club. She had the opportunity to meet and talk to professional tour players, play lots of skills challenges and have her photo taken with the Solhiem Cup, presented at the biggest event in women’s golf.
Last year she was one of only 36 girls from across the UK and Europe to qualify for the final of the Junior European Open Golf Championship, held at the Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort.
