How they rated: Sporting 1, Biggleswade 1

Breeden: Couldn’t do much about Biggleswade’s opener. Showed more good distribution to help his side break up field and pulled off a really good late save to deny White. 7.

Spink: Solid enough and put in a fine cross from the right for Gregory’s leveller. Replaced at the break by Will Sorrock. 6.

Wilson: Composed on the ball in the left back spot and needed no invitation to get forward to support attacks. May be disappointed that goalscorer Brookes found too much space for the opener. 7.

Massey: Struggled to have an impact in midfield in the first half but switched to right back in the second half as Spink was replaced by Shorrock.Kept things simple but made a few timely interceptions. 6.

Taylor: Solid at the back despite the wind causing havoc at times. Had one effort deflected wide in the first half. Picked up a shoulder injury late on. 7.

Hull: Put in a fine defensive display. Winning his headers and reading the game neatly alongside Taylor. 7.

Dowd: Sporting had their best spell in the first half after they found the wide man more. Always looking to take on his man and got his side onto the front foot. 7.

Quaynor: Like many of the home side, he struggled to find his feet in the opening exchanges but grew as the game wore on. His driving runs from midfield and link up down the left was key for the hosts. Always looking to get on the ball in good areas. 7.5.

McDonald: A frustrating afternoon for the pacey striker. Struggled to have an impact and too often ran offside at key moments. Did see an injury time effort creep narrowly wide. Worked hard though. More to come. 6.

Gregory: Looked a threat and always an option. Bagged Sporting’s equaliser with a thumping header at the end of the first half. 7.5.

Thompson-Brown: Showed some neat footwork in tight areas and fired a couple of second half chances over the bar, often after starting the moves from deep himself. 7.

Subs: Shorrock: Lively at the start of the second half and always looked to get forward with direct running out wide. 7.

Pykett: Offered a different threat out on the right and saw a show smothered by the keeper in the closing stages. Decent impact. 7.

Lincoln: Late change for the injured Taylor. N/A.

Unused subs: Brown, Perry.
