BOSS Bren Kelly wants his Rouslers to make sure they get their just rewards from games.

Sporting didn't have a game last weekend but return to Southern League Central action this Saturday with the visit of Needham Market to the Victoria Ground (3pm kick-off).

The manager has challenged his players to find consistency as they look to build more momentum moving forwards this season.

He said: "Consistency is going to be key for us now. That's the area we want to improve.

"It's all about transforming our good displays and performances into wins.

"We'll have off days occasionally but we can't have anymore of those valiant losses or draws. We have to start getting what we deserve out of games.

"We're not far off, it's just about capitalising on our chances.

"We have been working on our finishing in training and hopefully it will all come together."

Kelly is keen for Bromsgrove to build on their 1-1 draw with early pacesetters Rushall Olympic last Tuesday.

He added: "It's a result that we can take a lot of confidence from.

"I spoke to Liam McDonald after the game and he said he thinks it's the best group he has put together.

"He has had better individuals but this is the best unit. So it's encouraging that we have matched them."

Sporting have no new injury issues ahead of the Needham Market clash. Only Liam Spink remains sidelined due to an ongoing ankle injury.

"Liam still has some work to do to get his ankle right," said Kelly.

"He's a very loyal lad and was probably playing through the pain a little for three or four games because he wants to give his all for the club and for us.

"He's the sort of person who will put his body on the line but it's the same ankle that he broke so he needs to give it more time to make sure it's right."
