NEW team Worcester City Royals have started in promising fashion by leaping up to second spot in Cheltenham League Division Three.
The King George V Playing Fields-based side have won two out of their first five games to sit two points behind leaders Cheltenham United.
Jack Martin scored as Royals drew 1-1 at home to Smiths Barometrics Athletic thirds last weekend.
Royals, who host Tenbury Town in the Worcestershire FA Minor Cup second round on Saturday, previously beat Tewkesbury Town Reserves 3-1 and Falcons Reserves 6-0.
Chris Wickham, Reece Elvins, Ben Goode, Callum Hill, Luke Holland, Simon Carter and Harry Taylor have also been among the goals.
Other league games saw Malvern Vale Reserves go down 4-0 at home to Cheltenham United.
Welland Reserves lost 3-1 at Prestbury Rovers Reserves in Division Two.
Kempsey Corinthians romped home 6-2 at Charlton Rovers Thirds in Division Four thanks to Euan Lilly (3), Neville Campbell, Louis Dix and Luan Gashi.
