WORCESTER Warriors' head coach Jonathan Thomas has suggested that prop Marc Thomas is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated ankle in last weekend's European Challenge Cup defeat to Toulon.

Thomas was returning to the side for the first time in seven weeks having injured his foot in the 24-24 draw with Newcastle.

He managed just 24 minutes on his comeback before he was stretchered off the Sixways turf with a serious injury to his ankle.

"He has not had an operation yet but it is a pretty serious one," said Jonathan Thomas

"The thing with front row forwards is that they wear long studs and unfortunately with the surafce here at Sixways, there's a little less give and he's got those studs stuck and turned his ankle.

"So he's dislocated it and also done some damage to the ligaments as well so we don't know yet the timeframe but it would be at least four or five months."
