BARNT Green have battled their way through to the final of the Vitality Club T20 Cup following a fabulous showing in Derbyshire on Sunday.

The Green pulled off a convincing six wicket win over Yorkshire League  side Woodhouse Grange in the semi finals.

Having restricted Woodhouse to 110 all out the Green recovered from a shaky start in reply thanks tio Jacques Banton who blasted an unbeaten 50 not out off 42 balls,

Banton found support from Amrinder Brar who made 24 with skipper Dom Harding adding a further 19.

That was after the Green lost Rheedyi Amin and Ben Chapman-Lilley with only 16 runs on the board.

In the final, the Green thrashed Netherfield from Cumbria by 76 runs.

Rheddyi Amin made up for his semi final shortcomings by smashing 101 not out off only 56 balls.

His innings included a boundary laden 11 fours and no less than six sixes!

With Ben Chapman-Lilley adding 30 and Amrinder Brar 29, the Green posted a huge 175 for five that proved way beyond Netherfield in reply who closed on 99 for eight, Adam Hines helping himself to figures of four for 16 while Robbie Shurmer snapped up two for 29.
