BROMSGROVE RFC will play host to a team of professional coaches from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

The Boars are among 100 clubs taking part in a national program which has been designed to expose their young players to the latest coaching techniques and methods from the Southern Hemisphere.

The program has been put together by Socious Sports who are bringing 50 professional rugby coaches to the UK this year to help run their courses.

The coaches that are running the courses this year include Graeme Torrie - a level three New Zealand coach who used to play for the NZ Barbarians, Anthony Heugh, head coach of the South African under-19 squad and Mark Burman, current Super 14 player with the Waikato Chiefs.

The courses run for five days, starting at 9.30am each day until 3.15pm.

They are aimed at players of all abilities and teach through game play more than drills.

It is a fun week for everyone involved and there is also the opportunity to have one of the coaches living with you for the week of the course.

The camp at Bromsgrove RFC is taking place during the week beginning August 18.

Parents or coaches looking for more information or wishing to book a place on the course should contact Socious Sports on 01727 817191 or visit their website www.socioussports.co.uk
