TWO Bromsgrove School netball teams have qualified for March's prestigious national competition.

Three age groups made the West Midlands regional finals at Phoenix Collegiate in West Bromwich after being crowned county champions with the under 19s and under 14s then progressing.

The regional tournament witnessed fierce competition as each team played six matches in their pool stages.

Bromsgrove's under 16s finished second in their group with skilful performances.

Although they narrowly lost to Solihull in the semi-finals, their tenacity and sportsmanship were commendable.

But the spotlight shone brightly on the first team and under 14s who both reached the English Schools’ National Netball Finals in Oundle, Northamptonshire.

The first team dominated their pool, comfortably defeating RGS Worcester in the semis and narrowly losing to Stratford High School in a hard-fought final.

The under 14s demonstrated sheer dominance by winning all six games in their pool, securing a spot in the semi-final against King’s High Warwick.

In a thrilling encounter they emerged victorious and went on to claim the regional title with an outstanding triumph against Edgbaston High School in the final.
