FOOTBALL: Fairfield Villa's preparations for the new Midland Combination Division One season continued with a win and a defeat in pre-season friendlies.
Paul Oakes' side put in an impressive display despite losing 2-1 to Oldbury Athletic last Tuesday.
Villa were dealt a blow when goalkeeper Mike Hewitt was forced off with a torn thigh muscle.
They slipped two goals behind, but Andy Nichol pulled one back from the penalty spot.
On Saturday, Feckenham took an early lead against the Stourbridge Road outfit, but Villa came back to win the game 4-1, thanks to a brace from Duncan Tye and strikes from Stephen Morgan and Dave Rousell.
Villa's home friendly against Greenhill, originally scheduled for tomorrow night , will now be played on Thursday.
They also welcome Enville on Saturday.
