BROMSGROVE and Redditch Athletic Club have been promoted to Birmingham and District Cross Country League Division One.
They completed a clean sweep of all the Division Two trophies at the final race after four wins out of four meetings.
Bromsgrove and Redditch claimed the A and B team and masters A and B honours.
A strong line-up travelled to the final fixture at Top Barn, near Worcester, knowing that they were virtually guaranteed a Division One place next year.
The dry, flat four-lap course favoured star junior athlete Alex Adams who set off with the leaders and managed to break away, winning his second race in a row by a margin of 18 seconds over Halesowen's Max Parker.
Adams was followed home by Joe Smith in fourth, star veteran James Marshall in 11th, Ty Adkins in 19th, Mark Appleton in 21st and Henry Gibbs in 23rd.
It gave the team an 80-point victory over second-placed Cannock and Staffs AC to win the series with a dominant 310 points, way ahead of runners-up Halesowen on 736.
The scoring six were well supported by their team-mates among 198 finishers.
Nick Dale finished 39th, Patrick Mackie 45th, Pete Ball 49th, Wayne Watkins 56th, Brett Elesmore 61st, Thomas Reichow 67th, Ryan Lee 76th, Luke O'Gorman 82nd, Richard Banks 105th, Andy Freeman 118th, Will Noyce 125th, Tom Richardson 152nd, Ian Keyte 169th and Mathew Clay 170th.
Adams won junior and senior gold medals to go with his team gold.
Keyte completed his 110th Birmingham League race, moving him up to 17th on their all-time list.
