Some Tom Lammonby brilliance saw Worcestershire reduced to a draw with Somerset.

The batsman's third half-century of the season saw the visitors fight back on day four of the Vitality County Championship Division One clash at Kidderminster on Monday (April 29).

Lammonby thrived, playing an essential part in the draw against the newly promoted Pears, with his unbeaten score of 81 lifting his season's run tally to over 350.

With the support of batting partner Andy Umeed at the crease, who scored his own best of 60 runs in what would prove to be the decisive fourth-wicked partnership.

Somerset were 76 runs down, but the pairing scored 117 runs in 39 overs, taking the edge off the Pears attack throughout the afternoon session, and leading the visitors to the draw.

The game was Worcestershire's last of their two-match stay at Chester Road this season, with plans to move back to New Road when they next host a Championship game on Saturday, May 25.

Worcestershire now have 11 days off before coming up against Kent at Canterbury.
