Droitwich Ladies C and F teams played host to their counterparts from Bromsgrove Tennis Club.
The C team got a winning draw by taking one more sets whilst the F team won 3-1 against Bromsgrove F.
For the C team both pairs - Claire Pearsall and Marilyn Sherring, Heather Fellows and Diane Owen each won one rubber and lost the other in three sets in a match that lasted almost five hours.
Meanwhile the F team pairing of Chris Sellars and Claire Evans won both their rubbers, whilst second pair Julie Rhodes and Shona Atherton won one and lost one of their two.
The result was even more pleasing as three of the four Droitwich players were playing their first ever winter league match.
Meanwhile Droitwich Ladies B narrowly lost a hard fought match at Evesham A.
