WARRIORS.

7 Pennell – almost cost his team a try when he thought the ball had gone out of play but was Warriors’ most dangerous attacker and landed a monster penalty.

7 Howe – hard to knock the ex-Wasps ace who came off his wing to test the home side’s defence and handled whatever was thrown at him.

6 Te’o – a mixed bag from the centre who played with great intent at times, looking to give his team front-foot ball but his defensive error led to Hughes’ second try.

6 Mills – tried to make things happen and put in a couple of good kicks in behind but also sent one out on the full that put his side under pressure.

6 Adams – back after being given a five-day break the wing struggled to fire as he was often halted in his tracks and was forced off following a blow to his leg.

6 Weir – missed an early penalty attempt before landing his next three kicks but did not stamp his authority on the game and made a few errors.

7 Hougaard –not faultless but looked force the issue and came to Warriors’ rescue with a superb try-saving tackle on Shields.

5 Black – was penalised for not releasing after his first carry and left the field with his head bandaged following a heavy collision.

6 Annett – also received treatment after helping to drag Lewis over the whitewash. The hooker was reliable at the set-piece with accurate lineout throws.

5 Milasinovich – stepping into Schonert’s shoes the prop flattened Zhvania with one big carry but was guilty of making sloppy mistakes.

5 Bresler – returning to the team the lock made little impact before leaving the field through injury at the start of the second half.

6 Barry – put in a massive defensive shift, chalking up 17 tackles but his fumble from the restart following Weir’s early penalty was a momentum swinger.

5 Hill – a bad day at the office for the young flanker who missed five tackles as he struggled to contain powerhouse Hughes and was soon hooked.

7 Lewis – one of Warriors’ stand out performers as he was sharp in attack, getting on the end of a driving maul to score and threw himself into every collision.

7 MAMA – was aggressive with ball in hand and showed great tenacity in defence to win a couple of turnovers and steal a Wasps lineout. My man of the match.
