WARRIORS.

5 Pennell – was involved in a few early attacks but was far from his best in the air, fumbling several catches that he would usually gobble up.

4 Humphreys – the pressure was on the wing to step up after Howe’s hat-trick last weekend but he rarely got his hands on the ball.

5 Lawrence – defended well in the first half but gaps started showing in the second and he struggled to keep the ball under control.

7 Mills – was Warriors’ best performer in the opening period as he carved out a couple of good opportunities and was dogged in defence.

6 Nanai – after a sluggish start which saw him badly overthrow a pass the wing was lively and made a try-saving tackle on Kibirige in the second half.

4 Weir – had an off-day from the tee as he missed two of his four kicks at goal and aside from taking a quick tap that caught Wasps off guard, he offered little in attack.

6 Hougaard – produced a couple of testing kicks and put in a few big hits before being replaced by Kitto who tried to inject energy.

6 Waller – was having a decent game before suffering a blow to his foot at the start of the second half and left the field in discomfort.

4 Annett – gave away a penalty that led to the first try, overthrew at a lineout in a great position and was penalised for a high tackle that allowed Searle to extend the lead.

6 Carey – aiming to put his stamp on the position, the tighthead made the odd carry and scrummed well before making way for Palframan at half-time.

5 Bresler – spurned a good opportunity when he was pinged for holding on but will be pleased to get 80 minutes under his belt after an injury-hit start to the season.

6 A Kitchener – was alert to stop Robson darting through after a quick lineout by Wasps as Warriors defended robustly during his time on the pitch.

5 Hill – did some good things as he notably put in a massive tackle on Watson early on but those were outweighed by several mistakes.

6 Mama – went off to receive treatment but came back on and quickly got stuck in again, stripping a Wasps player of the ball.

7 VAN VELZE – returning to the side, the number eight hardly put a foot wrong as he tackled well, carried hard and was sharp around the field. My man of the match.
