The only good thing about this game was the result. Very poor performance against a poor Irish side. Anyone else would have taken 5 points. We were devoid of any ideas or able to do the basics right.

The second half was a mess. It’s really weird as we seem to play better with 15 vs 15. We seem to lose concentration massively when we are a man up, it’s so weird. Attack still doesn’t seem to be firing with tons of handling errors. A win is a win though I guess.

Neither team were at the races, but a deserved win. Just not flowing at the moment and a shame we couldn’t enthral the masses. Any type of win is welcome however.

Martyn Pattinson (@Bigchap27).

Entertaining first half and well worth the lead. Very disappointing from both teams after the red card but a W is a W. Impressive record at 6ways in 2019.

Geoff Shaw (@gshawisme).

The positive is that we won. Other than it was all a bit stodgy. Can’t fault the work rate but for whatever reason very little penetration in attack and really not clicking at the moment especially given the man advantage. Good to see Tom get a start.

A grim win with a few highlights. @jonno_lance made a great impact and @Ants00bresler was a tackle machine.

Sixways Gold & Blue (@SixwaysGnB).

1 Poor overall performance - you can tell they had time off for Xmas; 2 Beck and Lewis were very solid and the standout players for us; 3 Win’s a win - but a lot of work to be done; 4 Shame a sell-out crowd saw such a turgid / poor match; 5 Three points off second is great.

Anthony Butterworth (@rugby_dad_146).

Scrappy. But a win is a win. Defensively sound. Attacking wise we seemed to be trying to force it instead of playing to the set plays they went through in the warm-up. Definitely played better against 15. But another four points.

Paul Hopkinson (@PaulHWarrior).

Not a pretty game to watch! Too many handling errors. Our attacking flair seems to have disappeared. But most importantly it was a WIN!! Winning ugly is still winning.

Christopher Daplyn (@ChrisDaplyn).

A win’s a win but it wasn’t entirely convincing. Maybe time to change things around a bit?

Simon Ball (@bally07).

Good intent, lacking execution. Better than last week at least. Win was the main thing. Howe sparking and Weir and Lance were both very good. Standard Lewis performance = class yet again. Mills and Hougaard need a break. Four wins from seven though, shows our expectations and confidence in the team.

Andrew Page (@PageAndrewJ).

As others have said a win is a win but the game lacked imagination. Howe and, as always, Lewis were standout players. Should have got five points from a poor Irish side.

Mrs Ampo (@Mrsampo).

We used to lose games like that! Lots of catching practise needed this week, Solly! Not the prettiest but we will take the points they all count. If we were on our game, we would and should have got five points.

Lisa Tootill (@2ootyLisa).

Got the win and an improvement from last week. Defence was strong, Hougaard found his fire and put in some huge tackles. Lewis, Hill and Bressler were immense. Last 15 minutes was just error after error. The build up to Lance’s try though looked beautiful from our seats.

Kelvin Lye (@BorisCabbage57).

A win’s a win but overall a poor performance. Warriors didn’t stretch them enough when they were down to 13 players. A couple of players are lucky to be selected at the moment.
