WORCESTER Warriors' vice captain Will Butler has joined Cornish Pirates on loan for the rest of the Greene King IPA Championship season.

Butler is in line to make his Pirates’ debut against Nottingham at Lady Bay on Saturday having been named among their replacements.

The loan will give Butler the opportunity to play regular competitive rugby in a season when there are no Premiership Rugby Cup or Shield competitions due to COVID-19.

Butler, a former England Under-20s captain, will be one of six Warriors players in Championship action this weekend.

Lock James Scott and back-row forward Matti Williams will make their debuts for Jersey Reds against Ealing Trailfinders at Vallis Way on Saturday having joined them on season-long loans earlier this week.

Scott and Williams will join their Warriors' team-mate, centre Scott van Breda, in Jersey's starting XV.

Looshead prop Lewis Holsey and number eight Morgan Monks will again start for Hartpury in Sunday's match against Ampthill at Dillingham Park.

The Three Pears Warriors Academy pair have joined Hartpury on dual registrations.
