ALL-rounder Ed Barnard scooped four accolades when Worcestershire staged their 2018 awards evening at Blackfinch New Road.

The 22-year-old lifted the Players’ Player Of The Year Award, the Dick Lygon Award, the Supporters’ Association Player Of The Year Award and the Fans’ Forum Fielder Of The Year award.

Barnard picked up a season’s best 49 wickets in the Specsavers County Championship in addition to scoring more than 500 runs batting predominantly at number seven or eight.

He also earned his first England Lions call-up this summer.

In addition Barnard was a key member of the Rapids side in white-ball cricket and produced some memorable moments in the field.

He has won the Supporters’ Association Player of The Year award for the second year running.

Vitality Blast hero Pat Brown also landed two awards – the T20 Player Of The Year award and the Worcestershire Cricket Society’s Moment Of The Season Award.

Brown, 20, finished as the Blast’s leading wicket-taker with 31 victims and drew many plaudits for his variations of delivery.

The cricket society award was for his three wickets in an over to help seal the semi-final victory over Lancashire Lightning at Edgbaston.

Opening batsman Jack Haynes won the Damian D’Oliveira Academy Player Of The Year award.

Haynes scored his first second XI century against Nottinghamshire and also earned his first England under 19 call-up.

The Worcestershire Women’s Rapids Player Of The Year award went to Chloe Hill while the Players’ Player award was won by Issy Wong.
