WORCESTERSHIRE'S Pat Brown has been rewarded for his Vitality Blast performances with an England squad place.

The seamer, 21, is in the 15-man Twenty20 set-up for the five-match series in New Zealand.

Brown, who studies at the University of Worcester, took 17 wickets in the Vitality Blast campaign as the County reached the weekend final at Edgbaston before a four-wicket defeat to Essex Eagles on the last ball.

Lancashire duo Saqib Mahmood and Matt Parkinson are also picked for England along with Somerset wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Banton who hit 549 runs in the T20 season.

Eoin Morgan, who led England to 50-over World Cup glory earlier this summer, will also continue to captain the T20 side with the series starting on November 1.

England have not included Jonny Bairstow in their Test squad for the tour of New Zealand while four players are handed maiden call-ups for the two-match series.

Warwickshire opener Dominic Sibley is rewarded for his summer with a place on the plane alongside Kent batsman Zak Crawley, Mahmood and Parkinson.

Batsman Jason Roy is another to miss out after a difficult Ashes series while seamer James Anderson remains unavailable due to a calf injury.

Surrey batsman Ollie Pope is back involved and Jos Buttler will be the wicketkeeper in New Zealand due to Bairstow's absence.

Worcestershire's T20 captain Moeen Ali, 32, has not been included in either squad.
