It’s the movie you’ve been waiting for – assuming you’re a massive fan of Angry Birds – and the trailer is finally here.

But don’t worry, if the thought of an animated film based on a mobile phone app doesn’t fill you with joy, the cast – Jason Sudeikis, Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage and Josh ‘Olaf The Snowman’ Gad – might just pique your interest.

We’ll be honest – we tittered a couple of times.

And to be fair, the film’s writer Jon Vitti knows his comedy onions – he cut his teeth on shows like King Of The Hill, The Simpsons and The Office.

We’re not 100% sure what the storyline is, but we’re guessing it involves some pigs making the lives of Red and co very difficult, and the birds getting angry in response, possibly with the aid of an enormous catapult.

If the clip’s got you excited for more avian action, you’ll have to wait until next year for the film’s release.
