BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has pledged his support to Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) after signing a book of commitment at the House of Commons.
In the weeks running up to HMD the Holocaust Educational Trust placed the book in the commons, giving MPs the chance to honour those who were persecuted and killed during the Holocaust.
In signing the book, the MP encouraged Bromsgrove residents to work together to combat prejudice and racism.
Mr Javid also praised the Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people about what they endured, through the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Outreach programme.
The MP said: “Holocaust Memorial Day is an important opportunity to remember the victims of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides.
“I encourage all constituents to mark the day and to join members of community in the fight against prejudice and intolerance.”
