BUDDING entrepreneurs from a Bromsgrove school scooped the top prize in a regional competition.
Students from town schools set up and ran their own business for a year with the help of business mentors, through the Young Enterprise scheme - the national educational charity.
The event, held at Bromsgrove School in Worcester Road, saw town schools scoop several awards.
Youngsters from North Bromsgrove High School, who ran their business Hashtag Reco producing jewellery made from recycled cutlery, scooped the top prize of best company.
The students’ business went through to the next stage of the competition – the Hereford and Worcestershire County Finals, due to be held at County Hall in Worcester this month.
Julia Neale, from Young Enterprise, said: “We had some great companies started up by students in North Worcestershire this year.
“I particularly want to congratulate the students from North Bromsgrove High School.”
