KIND-HEARTED Rubery youngsters have been packing boxes for a Christmas shoebox appeal.
The children from Jellybabies Nursery, based at Longbridge Methodist Church, helped carry 127 shoeboxes, filled with Christmas gifts for unprivileged children, to a collection car.
The shoeboxes had been brought in by members of the nursery, Longbridge Methodist Church, local brownies and members of local community.
The shoebox collection was part of Operation Christmas Child, run by Samaritan's Purse.
Jacqueline Walker, the nursery's manager, said: "Samaritan's Purse collector Stuart spoke to the children about the next journey of their shoeboxes.
"This was a great learning opportunity for the children to learn about the needs of others and how they can help."
