A MAN was arrested after a pursuit by police officers led to the recovery of a BMW car stolen in Blackwell.
The BMW was taken from outside a house in Linthurst Newtown, in Blackwell, at around 5pm on Friday, January 3.
Minutes after it was reported stolen the car was spotted at Heath End, Belbroughton, and pursued by police to the A456 Quinton Expressway, in Birmingham, where the vehicle was stopped.
Shortly afterwards officers arrested a 26-year-old Birmingham man on suspicion of stealing the car.
He was questioned before being released on police bail until Sunday, February 23, pending further inquiries.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call the operational policing unit at Rubery Police Station on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 418-S-030114.
