TALENTED youngsters from Bromsgrove schools have joined forces for a special workshop.

The dance workshop was held at Finstall First School, in Carnforth Road, earlier this month.

It was led by dance teacher Nathan Ashlie who challenged the children to learn and perform a tricky rock routine.

Youngsters from the school and from St John's Middle, Stoke Prior First, Catshill First, St Andrews CE First, Parkside Middle and Meadows First schools took part in the event.

Parents were treated to an energetic performance at the end of the workshop.

The event was organised by the Bromsgrove Cluster Gifted and Talented Workshop Project, which aims to increase provision for talented children in the town.

Various workshops are held each year that look into subjects including maths, art, poetry, drama as well as dance.

Gaynor Richards, from Finstall First School and project co-ordinator, said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity to work alongside other talented children from other local schools."
