BROMSGROVE residents are being asked to show their support for a town charity, set up in memory of a two-week-old baby who died in hospital.

Libby Mae’s Little Angels was established by Catshill couple Charlotte and Richard Sharratt in memory of their daughter Libby Mae.

The charity raises money for neo-natal units in the West Midlands like the one at Birmingham Children’s Hospital where Libby Mae was looked after.

Although only being in existence a short amount of time, the charity has already raised thousands through fundraising quiz nights, wear pink days, charity football matches and donations.

The charity has been nominated for a national award, and now needs townsfolk to support them.

The award is for Baby Loss Fundraisers, through The Butterfly Awards, and anyone can vote for free.

The awards celebrate those who work around bereavement, and honour parents who have experienced the loss of a baby.

Charlotte said they trying to get as many votes as possible before award winners are announced at a special ceremony, being held on October 11.
