ARTISTS and photographers who work in a contemporary style are being invited to put forward submissions for an upcoming Summer Exhibition at the Artrix Arts Centre.
The exhibition, which is planned to take place from July 15 to August 18 at the centre, will see a whole host of different work, curated by a team of young curators from local school and colleges.
This is the second year the Summer Exhibition has run, and last year saw more than 100 submissions with more than 40 artists having their work displayed.
Three dimensional work and crafts will also be considered, dependent on available space at the arts centre.
Artrix exhibitions co-ordinator TC Peppercorn, said: “We were thrilled that last year’s Summer Exhibition was such a success and delighted that we can once again offer an opportunity to the many artists who produce more unusual work that may not find an audience in more traditional galleries in the district.”
To request an entry form for the exhibition write to outreach@artrix.co.uk. Artists wishing to have their work considered for the Summer Exhibition, should email images of the work, along with a signed entry form, to outreach@artrix.co.uk before May 8. Final decisions on the submission will be made by May 22.
