New figures show that 4,450 apprenticeships have been started by young people in Bromsgrove District since 2010.
The announcement comes just a week before Bromsgrove MP, Sajid Javid’s Annual Bromsgrove Jobs Fair, at which hundreds of job opportunities will be on offer.
My Javid said: “4,450 new apprenticeships in Bromsgrove District is a fantastic success for local young people now benefitting from earning and learning.
“The prospect of a good job and a secure future ahead of them is exactly the start to life I want for all of our children.”
This has been part of a wider increase in apprenticeships with 315,760 started in the West Midlands since May 2010 and more than 2.6 million across England.
Mr Javid encourages anyone looking for an apprenticeship or job to visit the Bromsgrove Jobs Fair on Friday, February 5.
