A "CALLOUS" Stourbridge hit and run driver has been jailed for 33 months after he left a teenaged girl with terrible injuries when he ploughed into her at speed as she crossed the road.

Adnam Ajram, of Careless Green, Wollescote, had been disqualified from driving just seven weeks before he left 15-year-old Claudia Visser critically-injured and he was also the subject of a night-time curfew.

A GANG attacked a man and knocked him unconscious at a Redditch pub before fleeing the scene.

The assault happened inside Lloyds Bar on Unicorn Hill at 1am in the early hours of Sunday, April 10.

A CAR theft ring that stole luxury vehicles worth more than £500,000 from various Black Country locations in the space of a month have been jailed.

Mohammed Khan, Kieran Gordon, Callum Brown, Reiss Dunn, Jason Hadley, Aaron Simpson and Conrad Ashe were involved in a racket that saw high-end cars stolen from August 8 to September 11 2014, from areas including Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Halesowen and Oldbury.

WEST Midland Safari Park have welcomed two newborn baby deer which are classed as extinct in the wild.

The first Père David fawn, a female, was born at the Bewdley attraction on Thursday (April 14), followed by another on Monday (April 18).
