THE Bromsgrove Society is holding its annual summer school this July, with three days of talks and lectures on subjects covering various aspects of local history.

The summer school will be running from Tuesday, July 12 to Thursday, July 14 and will include six separate courses, including ones on Georgian Bromsgrove, the Housemans in Victorian Bromsgrove, the Midland Automobile Club and the history of Shelsley Walsh, Bromsgrove water mills, and Bromsgrove workhouses.

The session on Bromsgrove workhouses has already been fully booked up, and the society is adding an extra session on Georgian Bromsgrove due to popular demand.

There will also be a number of afternoon visits associated with each course in the summer school.
